Robin Sweely graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1984 with a B.S. in Industrial Relations. Her passion for riding and horses began a young age and she now has more than thirty years of experience in the horse industry. Robin currently oversees Acorn Hill Farm which is located in Madison, Virginia. Since 1994, Robin has been training and developing young horses while competing at the Grand Prix level of show jumping.
Some of her major accomplishments have been competing for the USA in Nation's Cup competitions. She has also competed throughout Europe against the best in the world. Her other accomplishments include competing in Mexico and South America, and winning Grand Prix at Upperville, Devon, and Spruce Meadows.
In addition to teaching and managing Acorn Hill Farm, Robin is also president and executive director of the 501.c.3 non-profit organization—HEART—Humane Equine Aid and Rapid Transport. HEART is an ambulance service for injured equines. HEART provides services at events from New York to Florida and west to Nebraska. HEART is involved with show jumping, steeplechases, quarter horse competitions and polo events.
Robin’s outside interests include riding motorcycles and traveling with her husband Mike.
